Is Your Mic Good Enough?

Good sound quality is important for a polished, successful interview.   Here are some guidelines:

What I Strongly Recommend: 

• The mic on a USB headset (like this)
• A stand-alone USB mic (like this)

If you don’t have one of the mics recommended above, don’t worry!  Just enter your mailing address into the booking form and I’ll mail you one to use for the interview.

You Absolutely Should Not Use:

• Your computer’s built-in microphone
• Any kind of bluetooth microphone or headset
• The in-line microphone on your headphone wires
• Your cell phone microphone (ie, a normal phone call)
